NYPD chief heckled by pro-Palestine protesters in New York
As recent pro-Palestine protests have overtaken New York and 21 different universities police crackdown on demonstrators has been met by strict police motion. Now a brand new video captures a chaotic scene at New York College, the place protesters confronted and insulted NYPD Assistant Chief James McCarthy and his officers. The incident unfolded on Monday evening after police arrested a demonstrator at an anti-Israel rally.

On the opposite aspect of the doorways, protesters proceed to shout insults and accuse the police of illegal actions. They bang on the doorways and yell, “Disgrace,” claiming the officers are “kidnapping” their fellow protester.
The incident happened because the NYPD was known as to clear a campus encampment arrange by over 100 protesters at NYU. The scholars had created a “tent metropolis” in solidarity with the same encampment at Columbia College, demanding their faculty divest from Israel-related holdings as a result of battle in Gaza.
Through the conflict with police, some protesters reportedly threw bottles at NYPD officers, and one demonstrator allegedly hit an officer within the head with a chair. The NYPD has not but responded to requests for touch upon the incident.
