EU prompts mapping service to help Iranian president chopper search | World News

The European Union on Sunday stated it had activated its “speedy response mapping service” to assist Iran seek for a helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi that went lacking on a fog-shrouded mountainside.

“Upon Iranian request for help we’re activating the EU’s CopernicusEMS speedy response mapping service in view of the helicopter accident reportedly carrying the President of Iran and its international minister” Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, EU Commissioner for Disaster Administration Janez Lenarcic stated on X.
